Hallowe'en at Greenfield Village

Last night we made our first trip to Greenfield Village with the girls. The blustery weather made for the perfect atmosphere for the "Halloween Nights" event. The girls had a good time, for the most part. Ella loved it. Lucy was in awe of all of the costumes. And Sophie had her good and bad moments; she seems to scare easier than the other two.

Highlights for me were when the scarecrow "scared" Ella, the pirates firing the cannon at the steamboat, and walking through the "Sleepy Hallow" area and seeing the headless horseman. I would definitely recommend this event for everybody next year.

I have always wanted to go there. Would I enjoy it?

My favorite has always been the headless horseman. I've been there three times now, and the first time it was too crowded to enjoy it. We skipped the covered bridge this year because we thought Seth might freak out. Eating at the Eagle Tavern makes it really nice because you don't have to wait in line or park far away.

Maybe I'll have to convince Andrew to go there sometime :)
